LORI LISH What do you get when you mix a liter German engineering, a cup of meticulousness, ten pounds of tenacity, and a couple hundred grams of cheerful enthusiasm? Jawohl, you get me! -or maybe a Mercedes Benz. I am an energetic people person who can understand both engineer speak and management processes, a strange dichotomy known as an Engineer Extrovert! My friend said it best when she told me “it is rare to find someone who is kind, generous and has an outgoing personality in one who is also detail oriented.” As it turns out, these characteristics happen to be advantageous for a project manager to have. I came about this discovery after several years of working as an accountant. I was asked to work on some interesting projects and I found my true passion. I was able to unite that passion with another when I spearheaded the creation of the Austin Outlaws, women’s full contact football team and the IWFL, Independent Women’s Football league. I loved playing for the Outlaws and am still involved with them today. After a few years I decided to go back to school. This cleared the path for me to really progress in the field and carve out a lifelong career in project management.
